Ask any business person in retail what their biggest day to day problem is and the answer is invariably the same - staff. No saying is more relevant than 'if you want something doing right, do it yourself'! In a sector where the end product so heavily relies on an individuals ability to make it, staff development and training is a must.

Many companies include 'staff training' with their products, but few actually re-train staff further down the line - which is inevitably required in a business area which has notoriously high staff turnover rates.

What We WILL Do Tick

  • Train you and your staff at your premises on the equipment that you have purchased when it suits you
  • No step-by-step paper guides. Our experienced and friendly staff know our machines literally inside and out, so can personally show you what to do (and don't do) and answer any questions
  • Show you how to maintain the machine, help get the most out of its ability and operate it safely (see below)
  • Setup the coffee and equipment to maximise whatever combination of products you have chosen
  • Re-train your staff if you have some new faces later on down the line, or just need a few reminders

What We Won't Do Cross

  • Charge you if you are (or are going to be) a regular user of our equipment
  • Make you and your staff go all the way to a training centre to be trained on a generic coffee machine, which lets face it, requires no effort on the part of the supplier
  • Cover the 'bare bones' and make for the door as been as we're not making any money out of it...
  • If you source your coffee from someone else, try and make out that you made a terrible choice and that our coffee is better!
  • Charge you for re-training if staff change or you just need a refresher course

The Actual Training

Cleaning TSC steam armThere are three main areas that the training covers, and these are:

  1. Maintenance of your equipment in the short and long-term. How to clean it at the end of the day, back-flushing, softening the water, protecting the steam-arms from blockages and so on. You've invested thousands of pounds, so make sure that your staff treat it as well as you would! Although many machines have shiny outer panels, daily cleaning-cycles are too often not completed, resulting in expensive repairs later on down the line.

  2. Operation of your equipment day-to-day to make the best possible products. From setting the grind of your coffee, to milk frothing techniques, to drink variations. There are many myths regarding the use of espresso machines and we use our years of experience to cut through the excess. Simple and easy to follow, we can show you how to get the most out of your investment.

  3. Safe use of your equipment. With the number of accident claims at work rocketing at alarming rates and another set of EU regulations, we don't just show you what to do, but what not to do. How to froth without burning, alert you to areas which are unexpectedly hot and places where water can reach the floor making it slippery.
