How We Came About

25 years ago the proprietors suffered "real coffee" withdrawal symptoms after returning from espresso-drinking travels through France and Italy. They resolved to promote real coffee and espresso machines and introduce everyone to the delights of a good cappuccino.

Soon Chartley Coffee found itself part of a nationwide coffee revolution.

Over the years, the business has grown to accommodate the growing range of drinks expected by today's customers. It now offers a wide selection of cafe drinks and coffee making equipment maintained by its own in house engineers.

How We Communicate

Where some call it old fashioned, we call it traditional. Still a family business, many of our customers have been with us since they opened. We enjoy working with customers and building long lasting friendships, which become fruitful for everyone.

Rather than sending mail merge letters every week to inform you of new offers being pushed by manufacturers, we prefer to give you a ring or call in for a coffee every now and again to see how things are. Rather than using 'Factors' which seem to enjoy reading you your legal rights when you forget to send a cheque, we run our accounts on a more personal basis.

How We Operate Logistically

Although our approach to customer relations may be traditional, our ordering system is what you would expect from any modern supplier today - quick, easy and reliable. Just let us know what you need and we will either send it with our carriers or deliver it ourselves (especially if it's delicate). All orders are sympathetically assembled by hand and we have an exemplary record for delivering goods promptly and in tact.

There are few things worse for a coffee shop (for example) than late deliveries. Having to cross out all espresso related drinks, or run to the local supermarket in search of hot chocolate is a sure fire recipe for unhappy customers, not to mention a livid owner.

That's one of the perks of a personal way of doing business, when you're down to your last bag of coffee and it's only 9:30, we can usually sort something out!
